Suggested Add-ons for Roleplay!

#1 Post by Jasdevi » Sun Mar 06, 2016 9:05 pm

So far i use TotalRP3 http://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/total-rp-3

This lets you do a few things in giving your character a little more depth for the average RPer

Elephant http://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/elephant

Great for catching snippets of rp you might want to look back on or share

Does Tongues see much use these days?

I remember having it back when I played before

I know of a few people who have Tongues but i've never personally seen much reason for it.

Only thing I use for RP addons are XRP
They say that it's viewable crossfraction - which means you can see the horde profiles if you got them on your Battlenet. I've found out that I don't need to have them on my battlenet to see the hordes profiles. Also if you're looking through a profile and the person logs off, it doesn't vanish, it continues to stay there for you to read.
You can see a persons IC name both in the Guildchat, as well as in the channels. To me that just adds a little extra.
If you have a hard time remembering people, it gives you the option to add a little comment about them which only you can read when you bring forth their profile. ALso if you've got a hanging RP with them, you can make that comment there as well. Has helped me a few times.

And you can be seated in your own little garrison to read profiles from all over the world, by simply search for an area or a name, then rightclick that name which comes up, and read their profile.

Working like MRP but clearly much more enhanced.

I'll see if I can get some screenies done. It's much more simple than TRP and such likes.

On an edited note: I also use WiM and Misspelled, along with Unlimitedchatmessages

The WiM works - as I have just run with the usual settings on it, it pops up a window, with the chatbox in if you get a whisper - To me that's handy with all the times I end up going AFK, and people ends up complaining "Didn't you see me whisper to you yaddiyaddiyaddi."
Misspelled, it's simple, because my spelling is terrible, I have an idea of how to spell the words, but in the end it saved me tonnes of time to sit with my dictionary next to me and look the word up to actually spell it correctly or ask my personal dictionary Jas how to spell the words. Even if I do have slipups with it.
Unlimitedchatmessages, it's all in the headline really.

It's got the advantage that it means characters can speak languages they can't by default - I'm probably going to pick it up, if just to properly represent the fact that Dawn speaks a little Darnassan (and otherwise I've just got to keep peering at Asteriya's screen if I want to know what's being said ;) )
